SERP Hop
Semantic ClusteringSERP Hop is a keyword expansion technique that extracts Related Searches from Google SERPs and uses them as seeds for the next discovery round. Each hop discovers keywords in adjacent semantic territories.
Here's how it works in practice: the seed 'garden pools' yields Related Searches such as 'pool chemicals'. The next hop then yields 'how to disinfect a pool' and 'pool water pH'. This uncovers topics beyond what LLMs and Token Insertion can predict.
SERP Hop results are tagged by source (SERP-ONLY or CONFIRMED). The primary advantage is that SERP Hop keywords are grounded in actual Google data—these are queries people actually search for. In practice, limit yourself to one or two hops. At three or more hops, keywords become semantically distant from the original topic.
