Central Entity (CE)
Theoretical Foundations CECentral Entity
Central Entity (CE) is the main entity (central theme) of a website around which the entire attribute structure is built.
Central Entity (CE) is the primary thematic focus that defines a website's core subject matter and serves as the foundation for all content strategy decisions.
For example, the Central Entity for intex.pl is 'Pools', and for polska.travel it's 'Poland'. CE appears site-wide and determines the Site Focus Score—the more frequently CE appears in content, the stronger the topical signal for Google. Defining CE is the first step in building a content strategy using the CSI Definition Helper skill, because without it, you don't know what the core of the site is.
In cases of multi-entity sites (e.g., Intex.pl handles pools, dinghies, and mattresses), each entity requires separate EAV analysis and cascading clustering.
